Almost done with the first section. Meet at the parking lot at 10:00 AM. Bring your bike so you can ride some new singletrack. We should be able to finish on Saturday.
Thanks!!

Are they additions, or re-routes?

Both kinda. Retoutes that will add a little length. Maybe about a half mile or more.

We will be back out at Heritage Park on Sat November 7th at 10:00 AM for more reroute work. Please come out and help us finish what needs to be done so we can get the bike trails separated from the horse trails.
One new section is officially open. It's just after Twist N Shout on the right past the lett turn that takes you to the top of the long downhill section. There is tape across the trail at this section.
Call me if need be 706-296-7288.
Thanks!

Was out there today, but didn't ride the new section. Anyone up for a Thursday night ride? I can get there around 5, later if necessary. I'm going to be out of town for the Swank 65 this weekend, or I'd be there. Let me know.

You plan on doing the Snake Creek TTs? I'm thinking about it and prolly will. Gotta get the wheels rolling strong & long again in 2010. The second one is on my 40th b-day.

Ken,

It is about 10 miles of good trail per loop. To get there from our area: GA316E towards Athens, right on the Oconee connector, right on US441S, Heritage is on the right just past Farmington with a big white fence running along the road. Total travel time from Lawrenceville about 45-60 minutes.

Thanks Clay, thought that was the area. Frogs bait shop is across the road if I am in the right area. (old yellow train depot)???. I'll find it. Something is just not right about your avatar.

Reminder:
XTERRA/Dirty Spokes Battle at Big Creek 4.5/9.0 mile trail run this Sunday, 11/8/09
Dirty Dausett Duathlon next Saturday, 11/14/09 (would loved to have gone with the GATR's on their trip- check forum)

See ya at 10 AM Saturday, 11/7/09

I was on the new section yesterday afternoon. Great Job! I can appreciate all the work that went into creating this new trail after spending a couple afternoons helping. I will try to be there next Saturday 11/14 at 10am.

We've got a little bench cutting, a berm and two rock gardens to finish and then we'll be damn done.
